Also, bringing the idea of the news sphere into your paper is a strong way to make the connection about what we have been covering in class. 4. I thought you chose a very interesting story to follow. Completely different from my approach, but the story line was enticing and entertaining at the same time. Good job!
The essay focused on how the recorded conversations between Mikhail Gorbachev and other European leaders, specifically Margaret Thatcher, were reported. Quotes from various sources were used to support your points. In relation to the news sphere, this quote stood out, "Without the influence of the public, media would have no direction." The story effectively portrayed how news stories circulate through different media. Harris was used well to show the different techniques of reporters.
I am a freshman at UofL. I am majoring in English and would like to teach EFL (English as a Foriegn Language) when I graduate. I have an older sister and two younger sisters. I am really really close with my little sisters. They are 16 and 4.
